Fromager - François Robuffel

François Robuffel has been farming organically in the hills of Tourette for over four decades, continuing a tradition that began in 1981.

Born on the very farm he still runs today, François raises his cattle with deep care and a commitment to natural methods. His cows graze on pesticide-free pastures in summer and are fed only sun dried hay in winter, with no fermented feed, silage, or chemical additives used at any stage.

The farm’s primary product is raw milk, sold fresh in sachets directly after milking, with nothing added and nothing taken away, just cooled and packaged. Any unsold milk is transformed into natural yogurt and a selection of farmhouse cheeses.

François distributes to around ten trusted local markets and shops, with a focus on community-based food systems.

Working seven days a week, 365 days a year, he sees his cows not as livestock, but as companions. It’s a life lived with integrity, rhythm, and reverence – where every product reflects the values of the land it comes from.
