Les Champignons du Tinet

Christian Boselli carries forward a legacy of mushroom cultivation that dates back to the 1970s.

Operating from an 800m long tunnel built by the engineer behind the Eiffel Tower, he grows brown and white mushrooms, shiitake, pleurotes, endives and even rare morels.

Natural ventilation gives his mushrooms a distinct earthiness, while a rotating bed system ensures no space is wasted. With his son-in-law, Christian sells via local markets, cooperatives and AMAP networks, turning passion into practice.

Waste mushrooms are composted or returned to the river ecosystem, contributing to the farm’s minimal environmental impact. His foraging hobby deepens his respect for the fungi – cultivated or wild.
